Ann K. Chapman first started practicing law in the bankruptcy field when she began work as an associate bankruptcy attorney for her now retired partner, Bob Vanden Bos, in 1985. Ann and Bob formed their law partnership in 1992 and practiced law together for more than three decades before Bob retired. Doug Ricks and Christopher Coyle, worked as associate attorneys for Ann and Bob for many years before becoming partners in 2016.
In addition to practicing law, Ann enjoys frequent opportunities to lecture on bankruptcy topics for the Oregon State Bar and Northwest Bankruptcy Institute. She also donates her time to the Pro Bono Clinic.
Ann is an avid golfer who has competed as an amateur since 2014 at both regional and national levels, first with the Executive Women’s Golf Association (“EWGA”) and later with the LPGA Amateurs, after it acquired the EWGA in 2018. As part of an eight women match team with the EWGA, “The Green Gang” (many U of O graduates on that team), her team won the EWGA Cup Championship, competing against 36 other teams to win a two day competition at the Reunion Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida. Five of those teams members joined three others that later formed the “Oregon Birdie Hunters” . The Oregon Birdie Hunters won the 2022 LPGA Amateur Cup, competing against 49 other teams at Horseshoe Bay Golf Resort in Texas, making Ann and four of her teammates, two time national champions in amateur team match play competition.
